Happy Monday, Ordinary!
For the last few weeks,Lifechurch.TV has been doing a series called “At the Movies.” Everyone looks forward to it every summer! Pastor Craig shows a different movie each week and teaches a lesson over it. This week’s message was over a movie called “We Bought a Zoo.” The service was so moving. I wish I could show the whole sermon, but I can’t. Check it out by clicking this link to Church Online. It will be showing for this week only. But here’s a short clip that really inspired me. Enjoy :)
Just 20 seconds. What could you do? I could do ANYTHING for 20 seconds! That’s all a lot of life is! Little 20 minute decisions. Think about it. What could you do this week with just 20 seconds of embarrassing bravery?
Maybe it’s calling a loved one and apologizing for something you did? It could be telling someone how you feel about them. Maybe it’s making a sales call you’ve been dreading but could change your business? What ever it is, write it down, and do it this week. Just 20 seconds of insane courage! That’s all you need!
I’m sitting here thinking if there anything I need to do, but I can’t think of anything in particular. I’m just going to pray:
“God, this week, as I go about my days, if there’s something you are wanting me to do (someone you want me to talk to or whatever it is) I pray that you just prompt me. Let me know what it is and let me know without a shadow of a doubt that message is coming from you. No matter what it is, whether it makes sense or not, I will look at my watch, and for 20 seconds, I will display the most embarrassing display of bravery. Even though I’ll be scared, I will show 20 seconds of insane courage despite my fear. I pray that next Monday you will give me some really cool stories to tell and inspire other on this blog :) Amen.”
If you are the praying type, pray for me this week and let’s see what happens :)
Think about this during the week. ”Sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.” Hope you have a great week. I can’t wait to hear what great things happened this week!
